Project Description:
Olas Asih School is a private school in Kemenuh, Gianyar Bali. This school uniquely combines formal and non-formal education. In this school, students are invited to do several morning activities such as meditation, yoga, and prayer, in between activities. Students and teachers are involved in sustainable living activities such as sorting, reducing plastic waste, and gardening on school farms.
Work Description:
Volunteers will be assigned to assist teachers in the classroom in providing learning, especially in foreign languages. Volunteers can also organize sessions according to their background or profession to enrich the students' experience. Volunteers will also create activities outside the classroom such as in the educational farm.
Requirements: Volunteers will live with a host family near the school. The house has a shared kitchen, and a
bathroom with Basic Indonesian Standards (Toilet, Wet Toilet, No shower or bathtub, and a
simple kitchen). Local food is prepared from food grown in the garden or available at the
traditional market located not far from the volunteer's residence. Volunteers can eat lunch at
school for free. Volunteers must be ready to adapt to the local Indonesian way of life and be
willing to build relationships with fellow volunteers, hosts, and residents
Accommodation and Food: Accommodation: Private rooms are available for up to 2 people. The host provides simple
bedding.

Insurance: Volunteers are responsible for their insurance.
Fees: 200 EUR per month.
Fees Used for: This fee will cover living costs (gas, water, electricity, food) and project materials. This fee will
cover the project’s sustainability program with the Bhumi Horta Foundation.
