Project located in Canton Taisha- Province of Morona Santiago in the Amazon region of Ecuador, the project is part of the Forest Kutukú- Shaimi the protected land which belong to the Shuar nationality.
Selva y Vida is a permanent program who works from January 2nd to December 23rd of every year, it was created by FUNPROCH and managed by an Indian Shuar family. Our mission is to preserve the biodiversity and the natural resources with the local inhabitants for the benefit of the current and future generations.
This program is dedicated to true nature lovers who want to experience an eco- adventure and who would be willing to adapt to the modest accommodation offered in the project.
The volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about the jungle during their stay, the traditions and customs of the Shuar culture while they support the schools nearby and make community work, construction of houses and latrines, path cleaning with machete, reforestation and agriculture, as well as handicrafts in the afternoons.
What to bring: Long trousers, long sleeves T-shirts, towel, rain jacket, cap, rubber boots, items for personal hygiene, swimsuit, sunblock, mosquito repellent etc.

Program fee for four weeks: 500,00 American dollars, must be paid at your arrival before going to the project, in case you want to make short stays or longer stays please ask us about the fees.
Cost includes: Four weeks of accommodation in the project, including breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Cost does not include: Any kind of transportation, bottled water, extra food and beverages, calls and internet access.
TROPICAL DISEASES: there is NO presence of Zika, malaria nor dengue.
PUBLIC SERVICES: There is not current water but there is a water fall nearby, no electricity, no signal for phones no internet, you can wash your clothes by hand in the river.
Language: Basic Spanish is necessary
